Before we get to the brushing teeth tips, take a moment to meet "Adamantine" a character I have created for this section of the website, with a really lame original name. Say hello to Adamantine!

Brushing Teeth

Now that you've seen the badly-drawn illustration of her, let's listen to what I Adamantine has to say on the subject of teeth brushing...
  • Be sure to pick the right tooth brush for you. You might want to buy a soft-bristled one if you haven't been taking very good care of your teeth and gums for a while.
  • Brushing your teeth means devoting 4-5 minutes of your time to do it properly. One minute of brushing doesn't cut it. Do brush your teeth thoroughly at least once a day, for example, before you go to sleep, when you're not in a hurry.
  • Fancy expensive tooth paste is not worth the money. Pick a brand and don't pay attention to the ads on TV too much. They're all essentially the same - it's the brushing that does 90% of the job, not the tooth paste.
  • Brush your tongue. Everybody forgets to do that!
  • Brush in between the teeth - because that's where the food gets stuck. Brushing these spots often means you are less likely to have problems with your teeth and gums.
