Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is the second Tomb Raider film starring Angelina Jolie.
The Cradle of Life Poster is awesome, showing a gorgeous
Angelina Jolie with a natural-looking background. But is the Cradle of Life Poster
real, or is it
computer generated?
Simply put, it's both. We asked
Paramount Pictures about the Cradle of Life Poster and here's what they said:
Paramount Studios have confirmed that it is a real photograph of Angelina Jolie with "airbrushing" applied to give it a "hyper real" and vibrant look which was the intention.
They didn't use physical airbrushes but like most (if not all) modern graphic designers, they used computer imaging and digital enhancement, so in this sense, it was partially computer generated. Angelina is the only part of the image which is "real" though, the rest are graphics and it was all put together by using digital composition.
They did not want to give away too much information about the techniques that were used for a reason known only to themselves, I also didn't find out if they did the work in-house or contracted an outside artist but I imagine that it would be the latter.
