Green Eggs and Ham - Do you like Green Eggs and Ham?
Green Eggs and Ham. I was searching for Easter eggs the other day and somehow came across the classic Green Eggs and Ham story. I remember reading Green Eggs and Ham at a house of people with toddlers [I must have been VERY bored] and the story with Sam-I-am and his friend (both ugly hairy creatures) made an impression.

Green Eggs and Ham
The story goes like this: Sam-I-am is trying to convince his friend to try out green eggs and ham [no such thing, if you were wondering if green eggs really exist! :D]. "Do you like Green Eggs and Ham?"He is reluctant to even take a bit of green eggs and ham and says "I do not like green eggs and ham!"
But Sam-I-am is not one to give up so easily... But his friend is also hesitant to try out green eggs and ham, convinced that he doesn't like them, even if he hasn't tasted them before...
Would you like them here or there I would not like them here or there I would not like them anywhere.
So, anyway, the story goes on and on, with Sam-I-am giving suggestions like "Would you like green eggs and ham in a house/with a mouse/insert crazy situation here. The illustrations of the Green Eggs and Ham book at this point are hilarious.
Anyway, after a lot of trying on Sam-I-am's part, his friend finally decides to risk taking a bite out of the plate of green eggs and ham and, surprise, surprise, he finds out that he likes them. [omg]
Like every insane kids's story, Green Eggs and Ham has a meaning. After reading it to your children and declaring that no, we won't be having green eggs for breakfast, you might suggest that they find it on their own. If they say something along the lines "people should be ready to try out new things", then you can be happy that they've got the message. Otherwise, good luck explaining that green eggs don't really exist and they'd make a freaky combination with ham anyway. :D
