Harry Potter Slash - Harry Potter Slash Fiction and Art

Harry Potter Slash
The Harry Potter universe and the characters created by J.K Rowling have inspired people all over the world and have given them ideas to draw and write about. The appearance of websites that host homoerotic fiction and art however , the so-called Harry Potter slash websites, has caused quite a few problems to the owners of the Harry Potter franchise, who don't appreciate a children's icon being used in such contexts.
Harry Potter slash websites usually have huge warnings telling people not to enter if gay fiction offends them, unlike other porn sites that try to lure surfers in to make money. Nobody's really making money from harry potter slash art or fiction, because that would be against the copyright laws anyway. I wonder why nobody is trying to close down paid porn sites with pictures of the smurfs screwing each other. Slash fiction is done for fun and nobody's forcing anyone else to read it. Admittedly, the mere thought of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy (or anybody else, male or female) in an explicit sexual situation gives me the creeps because I have never viewed the Harry Potter books that way, but nobody's throwing this stuff at my face and it's my fault I got a little traumatized once by not heeding the slash warnings in a Harry Potter slash fiction site. Plus, most Harry Potter slash fics are not really that explicit, and most of them have warnings. I don't like Harry Potter slash, because I can't imagine the Harry Potter characters doing any of these things creative slashers think about, but that doesn't mean I think they're perverts and should be sued.
The fact that Harry Potter slashers are generally careful doesn't however mean that it is not possible to sue them. The question is, should they be sued? Suing people would only cause further problems, because the Harry Potter slash fandom is quite large and passionate about what they're doing. And people that read, write or draw Harry Potter slash are active fans of Harry Potter likely to buy merchandise, that is, maybe, they're people worth keeping obsessed with the characters!
Maybe it's time the Harry Potter franchise got exploited for a purpose other than making money - that is, for the entertainment of a mostly female audience that enjoys reading slash fiction. It's another matter entirely why women enjoy slash fiction, but it's harming noone and helps keep the fans interested while Mrs. Rowling's trying to figure out what to do with her plot lines, which seem to be getting worse with each book.
(wow, a prophecy? that was an original idea, it really was!)
