Small Medipacks:
They restore about 50-60% of Lara's health when used. Be sure to pick them up in the first levels, even if you feel you don't need them, because you'll be wanting them badly later. Take in mind that Lara's health gets restored every time you pass a level, so if your health is not perfect, but you think you are approaching the end of the level, don't use a medipack!(first seen in Tomb Raider 1).
Large Medipacks:
Lara's health gets completely restored when you use them on her. There are not many of them to pick up, so be sure to conserve them. If, for example, Lara's health can get restored to, say 80% with a small medipack, don't use a large one. Take in mind that Lara's health gets restored every time you pass the level, so if your health is not perfect, but you think you are approaching the end of a level, don't use a medipack!(first seen in Tomb Raider 1).
Statistics:
A handy gadget that evolved from an old-fashioned watch(Tomb Raider 1) to a modern, high-tech Timex(Tomb Raider 5). It tells you how much time, medipacks and ammo you've used, your pick-ups, the secrets you've found and more vital information. You just select its icon to view the statistics. However, in Tomb Raider 4, you have to press "P" to pause the game and select "Statistics" from the menu that appears.(first seen in Tomb Raider 1).
Compass:
You are able to view it when you escape to your inventory. The needle always points to the North. The compass is supposed to help you find where North, East, West and South is, but it is confusing and nearly useless. However, it's useful to cheaters in Tomb Raider 4.(first seen in Tomb Raider 1).
Flares:

They come really handy in dark tombs and in narrow passages underwater. They're basically used to light up the place around Lara, so that she can explore it from corner to corner. Lara can climb while holding a flare, but she'll have to drop it down if she faces an enemy and draws her guns. She can always pick it up again though. Take in mind that flares don't last forever; in fact they only last for a short amount of time. You should not waste them just for the fun of it, because you'll really need them in certain places. If you are running out, you can draw your pistols and fire in the air so that you can illuminate the area for a second. In Tomb Raider 4 you can also use the binoculars - check the section below for details.(first seen in Tomb Raider 2).
Crowbar:
This one's really useful. You can break locks with it, use it to open rusty doors, grab certain items, use it as a lever, defend yourself (in Tomb Raider 5) and lots more. Not to be missed!(first seen in Tomb Raider 3).
Binoculars:They make you able to take a close look at things that are far from you. You have to select them from your inventory and then press > to zoom in and < to zoom out. If you press "action", you'll see the area illuminated. To put them away press Space/Triangle.(first seen in Tomb Raider 4)
Laser Sight:
This can be combined with the Revolver and the Crossbow. When you draw a weapon combined with the Laser Sight and press "look", the view will change to Laser Sight view, where you can aim accurately at targets which might be far away. To zoom in press > and to zoom out press <.If you release "look" you will return to normal view.(first seen in Tomb Raider 4)
Torch:Lara can pick up a wooden torch in certain levels, which she can light up from other objects that are on fire. A lit torch can keep certain enemies(such as beetles) away and can be used to light up other objects. By lighting them up, something happens that enables you to proceed into the game, for example, a door opens. Such objects might be everywhere, take in mind that you can even burn certain ropes. The torch can be used to light up the place as well, but flares are more handy in dark corners from where enemies suddenly emerge and attack you. That's because you have to drop the torch and then draw a weapon, whereas the flares are automatically thrown away when you draw a weapon. Another bad thing is that you can't use the torch while climbing and generally while doing things where both hands are required. If you drop it in deep water, you won't be able to pick it up again and its flames will of course go off.(first seen in Tomb Raider 4).
