Bratz Dolls - Evil?

Bratz Dolls. Let me get this straight: I don't like Bratz dolls. Too much make up, slutty clothing, stupid faces; surely, Bratz dolls are not the dolls I'd give my younger sister. But are Bratz dolls really as evil as they are considered to be?

Would you rather let your kids watch Britney Spears videos or play with Bratz dolls?

I would personally object to both. But if I had to pick one, I'd prefer to filter out real-life role models than lifeless dolls.

Don't get me wrong, I find Bratz dolls laughable at best. Last week I was at a toy store and they had some big Bratz dolls on display. To my horror, these dolls wore skirts that were shorter than belts, leaving their err... buttocks exposed. Next day I showed this to one of my frineds and we were both freaked out at how slutty dolls for children (pre-teens!) can be. But that's all there is to it. You can't stop your kid from buying these "evil" dolls, you can just be his/her role model and show him/her that real life people don't dress like this. Nobody in my school does. Little kids like the dolls because they think the clothing is cool and trendy, and it is. When I draw, I usually make my characters wear clothes I'd never wear, but that doesn't make me evil nor does it make my drawings harmful to others. That means, these over-hyped Bratz dolls can't possibly harm your kids, if you can make them understand what's allowed in real life and what's allowed in fantasy (everything!).
