Pyrokinesis - About the psychic ability Pyrokinesis

Pyrokinesis So, what's pyrokinesis? Pyrokinesis is the ability a person has to control fire, that is, set things on fire and put out fires by ehh... focusing on the flames or something. A person with the ability of pyrokinesis is called a pyrokinetic. Pyrokinesis is dangerous to people near the pyrokinetic and to the pyrokinetic himself. Pyrokinesis can supposedly enable people to burn ehh... things to ashes, if they're strong enough. I can't be sure if such a thing as pyrokinesis exists, I mean, I have never tried anything with fire, but you know what they say about smoke and fire right? [Okay, bad, bad pun, no show off your pyrokinetic character!] The main reason I wrote this page is to add some background to a fantasy character I have created. I haven't even named her yet, but she possesses pyrokinesis and I have yet to find a non-cheesy name for her. I have an open mind, but I do not blindly believe every crazy idea I hear. So, I don't know if pyrokinesis is possible, I am just trying to create a character. Perhaps I will name her Phoenix, after all. Here's my pyrokinetic character!
