If your teeth are aching right now, that doesn't necessarily mean that you suffer from sensitive teeth; it could just be something temporary or a different dental problem, other than sensitive teeth.

But if your teeth are generally sensitive to cold or heat, that is, they hurt you when you drink cold water or frozen food, when you put your hands on them or even when exposed to heat, then you probably have what is called sensitive teeth.

That means that vulnerable parts of the teeth are exposed, because the gums or the hard enamel have been worn down, making your teeth feel pain. Sensitive teeth is caused by brushing your teeth too hard, using toothpastes for tartar treatment or for teeth bleaching or by natural sensitivity; that is; your teeth are just weaker than the teeth of other people.

So, how can you get sensitive teeth treatment? You can avoid hard-bristled toothbrushes, change your toothpaste to a desensitizing one, get a fluoridation, or use special products to strenghten your teeth.
