Tomb Raider 4 Cheats
THE STORY
When Lara was sixteen years old, she accompanied the archaeologist Werner Von Croy on his journey to Cambodia(1984).Von Croy taught her the basic things about archaeology. Going with him was indeed a valuable experience for Lara-it was with him that she acquired the basic tomb raiding skills. However, Von Croy was not a very honest man and he got trapped in a temple because of his greed for fame and money. Lara tried to save him, but she had to leave the tomb, in order to save her own life.

In the present day, Lara is hired to discover a new tomb in Egypt. She discovers Tomb of Seth, where she takes the Amulet of Horus from a sarcophagus. That's a terrible mistake. Seth was an evil god, imprisoned in the tomb by his brother Horus and now he is set free. Lara accidentally activates a terrible prophecy. Jean-Yves ,an old friend of her, tells her about the prophecy of Seth:
"I am the shadow across the sun; I am the bringer of plagues. My wrath will consume all lands and shall be ceaseless."
Only Lara can set things back to normal again. Fortunately the person who unleashed Seth is the one that can imprison him again in his tomb, through a special ceremony. Lara has to go to tomb of Semerkhet in Karnak, in order to put Seth back in his sarcophagus. She places the amulet near the door and comes in. Von Croy, who somehow survived, steals the amulet and traps her inside the tomb. Lara manages to escape and now, she has to take it back. These things are not shown in a FMV. There are about 14 levels for you to play before you start trying to take the amulet back. The plot gets darker when Von Croy kidnaps Jean-Yves. Enough said. Go and play the game to learn the rest.

ENVIRONMENTS
The whole game is set in Egypt. More or less, Egypt has a great mythology, with lots of gods. There are also many legends and mysteries-not yet solved. We can't forget the great pyramids and the Nile, can we? So, therefore Egypt is a nice place for a game to be set. Core Design made it very scary. Lara explores dark tombs, ancient palaces, abandoned ruins, pyramids with deadly traps and sarcophagus, temples of powerful Egyptian gods and lakes with crocodiles. She travels in the desert where the sun is beating down and gets into a train in the Desert Railway level. She explores Valley of the Kings and Karnak, where she takes the amulet of Horus and then gets into the tomb of Semerkhet .Next, she goes to Alexandria and collects various artifacts and valuable information. Then, she goes to Cairo and meets the dark side of the city, finds her way through a complicated urban setting and then heads to Giza, for the final battle.
REALISTIC EFFECTS - More environmental objects to interact with including enemies.
- The lighting system now features spotlighting.
- New environment mapping also allows a variety of surfaces and objects to reflect and react to light sources.
- When Lara looks she will become transparent giving you an unobstructed view (PC version only).
- When Lara emerges from water, the water will be seen dripping off her body(but she will dry soon)

SECRETS
There are 70 secrets in the game. The first 8 are in the first Cambodia level(Angor Wat).Actually, they are golden skulls and if you find all 8,the level becomes more difficult to complete(an area which would have been a pool if you hadn't found all 8 secrets, is now dry land and that makes it difficult to survive a fall from a rope above).The rest 62 secrets are located in the other levels. They are usually medipacks and ammo and sometimes weapons. You need to do special tricks and use advanced skills to find some of them and only few of them can be located without searching. A chime sound, which is different from the one in the previous Tomb Raider games, is now played when you find a secret. There is no bonus for finding them all, just the nice feeling: "I have finished that HUGE game with ALL secrets!"
SAVING YOUR GAME
Unlimited saves on all platforms.
ROPES
First of all, to grab a rope you have to have the correct position. Use your Look button to adjust your position. If you are standing directly below the rope what you have to do is press Jump +Action .If you are standing on a platform, you should do a running or standing jump (depending on the distance between you and the rope) while holding down Action to grab it. After you have grabbed the rope, you can move up and down with the Up/Down Arrows or shimmy around it with the Left/Right Arrows, while holding Action. If you release Action you will fall.
To swing from ropes you have to press Sprint and Lara will start swinging as long as you hold down this particular key. When you are at the highest position, press Jump or Jump+ Action* if you want to grab somewhere and Lara will jump off the rope. It is a little tricky, because you have to find the right moment and press the right keys quickly. If you want to swing higher, try pressing the Down Arrow, so that Lara will be at the lowest position on the rope. That way, she'll be able to use the full length of the rope to swing.
*Note: By pressing Action, Lara will jump lower.

NEW WEAPONS
Only one new weapon has been added to the existing ones(pistols,automatic pistols(magnums),uzis,shotgun,harpoon gun,M-16,grenade launcher,Desert Eagle,rocket launcher).
Crossbow:A mechanical bow that throws arrows at the enemy. It is quite hard to aim. It can be combined with the Laser Sight and you can choose from three types of arrows to use: normal, poison and explosive. The explosives are the hardest to find, but they are the most powerful as well. They can blow skeletons up and cause a lot of damage to nearly every enemy.
NOTE:The Desert Eagle was replaced by the Revolver and the Grenade Launcher by the Grenade Gun.
However quite a lot of things have changed in the old weapons:
Shotgun:It is less powerful than it was in the previous series, so you can find plenty of ammo. There are two types of ammo: normal and wideshot.
Revolver:It can be combined with Laser Sight,if you want to aim accurately.
Grenade Gun:It can be used with 3 types of ammo: normal, super and flash.Uzis:It is still powerful, but you find a lot more ammo than in the previous Tomb Raider games (30 bullets in every clip)Yay! Maybe this happens because you can meet many tough enemies have to be finished off quickly and the Uzis are rapid weapons, that can be very handy in situations like that.
NEW TOOLS
Binoculars:They make you able to take a close look at things that are far from you. You have to select them from your inventory and then press > to zoom in and < to zoom out. If you press "action", you'll see the area illuminated. To put them away press Space/Triangle. Laser Sight:This can be combined with the Revolver and the Crossbow. When you a weapon combined with the Laser Sight and press "look", the view will change to Laser Sight view, where you can aim accurately at targets which might be far away. To zoom in press > and to zoom out press <.If you release "look" you will return to normal view.Torch:Lara can pick up a wooden torch in certain levels, which she can light up from other objects that are on fire. A lit torch can keep certain enemies(such as beetles) away and can be used to light up other objects. By lighting them up, something happens that enables you to proceed into the game, for example, a door opens. Such objects might be everywhere, take in mind that you can even burn certain ropes. The torch can be used to light up the place as well, but flares are more handy in dark corners from where enemies suddenly emerge and attack you. That's because you have to drop the torch and then draw a weapon, whereas the flares are automatically thrown away when you draw a weapon. Another bad thing is that you can't use the torch while climbing and generally while doing things where both hands are required. If you drop it in deep water, you won't be able to pick it up again and its flames will of course go off.
TRAINING LEVELS
The first two levels in Cambodia with young Lara(16 years old) are the training ones. Werner Von Croy, your mentor, teaches you the basic things about archaeology. You can practice running, jumping, swimming, climbing and swinging from ropes in the first level(Cambodia). In the second level, (Race for the Iris) you race against Von Croy-that's a good way to test your skills. You don't have weapons but you have to escape from some wild pigs. The better way to deal with them is to make them follow you until you reach Von Croy-he'll kill them for you. There are 8 secrets in the first level. Collecting them all makes a small pool to dry and that makes it harder to jump from a rope above. We also learn how Lara found her backpack and see a powerful artifact, for the first but not last time-The Iris.
BONUS LEVELS
There is a bonus level. You can only download it, it is not a reward for finding all secrets. In this small level, Lara explores Tomb of Tutankhamon. London Times and Eidos made it. It works with the TR4 game engine. It is called "Times Exclusive". Lara is hired by the Times editor to explore some newly discovered tunnels in Tutankhamon's tomb and report her findings exclusively to them. It is an easy level without many difficult puzzles. There is a bunch of ugly mummies to deal with, some crocodiles and some beetles.
CHEATS FOR THE PC AND MACLevel Skip
You have to make Lara face north with the compass.
Then escape to your inventory . Highlight the Load Game option but don't select it. Press and hold the keys "H E L P" for a moment.Then press escape again and exit the invertory.
All Items

CHEATS FOR THE PLAYSTATION
Those cheats may delete some of your items (the ones that carry on from level to level-for example, the Amulet of Horus) or prevent you from saving, so don't use them unless you have tried everything. Cheat at your own risk. Don't blame me if something goes wrong and don't say I didn't warn you.
Level Skip
You have to make Lara face north with the compass .Then go into the inventory Highlight the Load Game option, but don't select it, press and hold L1 L2 R1 R2 and Up all together for a moment. Then press Triangle to exit the inventory.
All Weapons
You have to make Lara face north with the compass. Then go into the inventory Highlight the small medipack but don't select it, press and hold L1 L2 R1 R2 and Up all together for a moment. Then press Triangle to exit the inventory.
